Privacy Policy
Last updated: 15 July 2026
This privacy policy explains how AER+ (the “controller”) collects, processes, and protects personal data when you visit this website. We process personal data in accordance with the Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection (revDSG) and, where applicable, the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
1. Controller
The party responsible for data processing on this website is AERplus Schibli, Bahnhofstrasse 22, 8165 Schöfflisdorf, Switzerland. For any privacy-related questions, please use the contact details in our Impressum.
2. Data we collect
Server log data: when you visit the site, our hosting provider automatically collects technical information such as your IP address, browser type, operating system, and the time of access, for the purpose of operating and securing the website.
Newsletter/waitlist: if you submit your email address, we store it in order to send you the requested information. Providing it is voluntary.
Age verification: your confirmation that you are 18 or older is stored locally in your browser (local storage) and is not transmitted to us.
Language preference: your selected language is stored in a cookie so we can display the site in your chosen language.
3. Cookies and local storage
We use strictly necessary storage only. The “NEXT_LOCALE” cookie remembers your language choice. The “aer-age-verified” entry in local storage remembers that you passed the age gate. These do not track you and are not used for advertising.
You can delete cookies and local storage at any time through your browser settings.
4. Purposes and legal bases
We process personal data to operate and secure the website, to respond to your requests, and to send information you have requested. Where the GDPR applies, processing is based on our legitimate interests (Art. 6(1)(f)), the performance of a contract or pre-contractual steps (Art. 6(1)(b)), or your consent (Art. 6(1)(a)).
5. Disclosure to third parties
We do not sell your personal data. Data may be processed by service providers acting on our behalf (for example our hosting provider), who are bound by contract to protect it. Disclosure to authorities may occur where legally required.
6. Data retention
We retain personal data only as long as necessary for the purposes described here or as required by law, after which it is deleted or anonymised.
7. Your rights
Subject to applicable law, you have the right to access, rectify, delete, or restrict the processing of your personal data, to object to processing, and to data portability. You may also lodge a complaint with the competent supervisory authority (in Switzerland, the Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner).
8. International visitors
If you access this site from the EU/EEA, the GDPR may apply to the processing of your personal data in addition to Swiss law.
9. Changes to this policy
We may update this privacy policy from time to time. The current version published on this page always applies.
